Hmmmmm

Happy New Year to all of you who i did not get the chance to say it to! This weekend was pretty awesome! I don’t know if you had a good New Year or not but I surely did, I was surrounded by people that I love, there was good food, drink, fellowship and long conversation. Is there anything better? I submit that there is not!

The weekend was packed full of beautiful people and fun, Friday was New Years Eve, Saturday i went to see “True Grit” with the Nichols family( ‘twas the bomb!), Game night @ Nichols house with a bunch of Young folk and Church at CTK MV. Not only was the weekend packed full of fun but it was also full of my awkward and crazy situations(every day had one). Friday; for new years i decided to make homemade pizza. Kiralee and I started to top the fresh made dough with delicious goodness and for some reason i thought it would be amusing to throw flour in that beautiful girls face. No worries, it will be fun right?…….Wrong! The flour flew threw the air as a glob and landed directly in her eye….lets just say she was not to excited and could not see for a couple minutes. Luckily she forgave me and the rest of the new year was the bees knees! Saturday; this was a normal day…the evening is when i do all of my awesome stunts of hurting people unintentionally. Game night at the Nichols is always amazing, there are goodies and awesome fellowship. This night was special though because Carolyn made Bolivian coffee…soooo gooood!! I could not wait for that sweet nectar from heaven to finish it’s brewing. You could assume that once the coffee was done that i had a piping hot cup of it hand..and you would be right! I set that cup of HOT goodness on the table and then spilt it all over a guy whom i had just met….(screams of pain and agony could be heard at this moment) he quickly ran to the sink to put cold water on his hand. How did i respond? I grabed another cup of hot coffee, poured it on his other hand and kicked him in the nether regions………………..ok so i didn’t do that. I felt horrible, I cleaned up the lake of coffee that resided on the floor and proceeded to humbly apologize to this handsome fellow for burning his hand. He hung around for a few and then left, I don’t know if it was because I had tried to burn his hand off or if he was just tired. Sunday; I crashed at Coopers on Saturday night so that i could go to church with them at CTK in MV and i crashed on coopers driveway Sunday morning whilst going to church. Curious?….i thought so. So when it is really really really cold at night the windows on your car get all frosty and stay that way in the morning. I hopped in my car and used washer fluid to wash away enough ice to create a small hole for me to see the road. I thought to myself “by the time i get to the actual road my windshield should be completely defrosted” hmm……great thought eh? Long story short I ended in a ditch with a mailbox broken beneath my car. It is the grace of God that i was able to get out of the ditch. The people who owned the mailbox that i destroyed were very understanding and helpful. I was a little late to church and God decided to speak to me (through the pastors message) about putting my trust in Him and not material things. They will fade but He will never leave me or forsake me. This is so true! I think God wanted to use a ditch and a mailbox to hit it home a little harder for me. Our God is so good, and creative! Anyways that’s just a little taste of my weekend. I hope that yours was as fun and exciting as mine, without burning peoples hands and wrecking mailboxes with your cars!
