The Mountain Was Calling and We Went
There is something about a mountain, i can’t fully explain why mountains speak to my heart . Whenever i go to a mountain it feels like a pilgrimage home. What is God going to talk to me today? That is the question that is ever present in my mind. Even if the mountain is Baker Ski Resort and the smell of crisp snowy air and weed are in my nostrils.

This last Thursday Colton (a YD student and friend)and I went up to baker for the day. It was awesome to be able to get out and enjoy that wonderful miracle called snow. It’s a form of worship, seizing the day and carving through the powder. I just imagine God chuckling at us falling on our faces and getting up to do it again. Colton crashed at my house after our bible study Christmas Party. It was a late night and a really early morning haha. We woke up, hit the road and by the time we got to the parking lot there was about 4in of new powder on the ground. The Snow fell like crazy most of the day which made visibility a bit shoddy but oh man was it fun!!
As I looked at the gorgeous pure white snow that covered us and everything around us a thought came to my mind. How rad is it that we have a God who is so creative that He decided to take the rain, freeze it and make it into this amazing moisture called snow. Then when He sent His Son to die for our sins He could compare our redemption and the cleansing of Christs blood over our lives to the purity of snow……….is that not creative or what?? God is Amazing!
